Long Term Care

In addition to 24-hour nursing, Long Term Care patients at South Park East alsolongtermcare have access to therapy and rehabilitiation services, physician care, pharmacy and dietary consultation. Families may use long term care insurance and private pay resources for many of the same services a skilled nursing patient may use when recovery seems limited or extended and hospitalization / insured benefits have been exhausted. Long Term Care minimum rates for semi-private rooms are $200 per day.

What if the patient or family cannot afford long term care? The daily rate is too high for the patient or family’s income. Although your loved one or patient receives social security, retirement, pensions or other funds there is a chance they may also be eligible for Medicaid supplemental funding. The business office manager at the nursing home will advise you on how to apply. The State of Oklahoma will consider income, assets and resources in the approval process. Does your family member qualify based on INCOME? *Information below is taken from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Maximum Income, Resource and Payment Standards Appendix C-1 (08AX001E) revised 4-1-2011 *Schedule VIII – Aged, blind, or disabled individuals.

ASSETS such as house, cars, business property, life insurance, burial policies and other personal property owned or transferred in the last five years are considered. RESOURCES, which are other sources of income like stocks and bonds, from the last five years are also considered. There are other considerations for Medicaid qualifications and approval. The business office managers will discuss arrangements for payments of social security, retirement, insurance or other funds and how those are utilized for facility care payment with the family member.
